At SentiLink, we believe it really is possible to know everyone.

We started SentiLink to address the growing problem of synthetic fraud, a hard-to-detect fraud that causes billions of dollars in losses to financial institutions, and, more recently, to state governments in the U.S.

We first discovered synthetic fraud when managing risk decisioning and risk operations at Affirm. While there, we noticed a recurring pattern of people who applied for credit repeatedly using one name and date of birth, but a different SSN. These “people” also had multiple credit reports with the same name and date of birth, but a different SSN. Clearly these weren’t real identities, and we realized there was a major gap in the financial industry's ability to detect synthetic fraud.

Max Levchin, Founder and CEO of Affirm (and Co-Founder of PayPal), was our first investor when we started SentiLink. We have since raised $85M from Andreessen Horowitz, Craft Ventures, Felicis Ventures, NYCA and many others.

Over time we have added an Identity Theft and KYC solution, were the first to use and offer eCBSV, and developed best-in-class technology on hard-earned insights about fraud and identity.  

Each step of the way we have consistently been ahead of the curve on fraud and risk issues. It's why risk teams from the top banks, credit unions and fastest growing fintechs have switched to SentiLink to stop identity fraud at onboarding.

We’re extremely proud of the progress made in the first 5 years, and are well on our way to becoming the first Identity Bureau in the U.S.
